Accommodation
We offer numerous local options for booking accommodation. As a standard practice, our courses do not include accommodation unless explicitly mentioned due to various connection links. However, if you have enrolled in a course and would like assistance in arranging accommodation for your stay, kindly reach out to our Academy directly, contact your Lead Trainer, or get in touch with your Customer Manager at your earliest convenience.

What is an Important Notice?
All of our Courses will have certain Course Requirements, which you will need to complete or comply with. Some will be required before your Course and some for on the day. The Course requirements which you must be able to satisfy, in order to sit the Course will be detailed in the Important Notice Section, on our Website. You will find this in the Student Zone. Please read these requirements before making your booking

Important Notice – SIA Top-Up
Before you can take Security Guard or Door Supervisor training; Top-up or full course, you must have an appropriate First Aid qualification as of April 1, 2021. It must be an EFAW (Emergency First Aid at Work) or higher qualification. In addition you must have also passed ACT Counter Terrorism, before commencing your training.
If you already have both Counter Terrorism and Emergency First Aid, you will need to provide evidence of this before the start of your course. Fail to provide evidence you will not be enrolled onto the course and you will have to rebook, the initial one day course before starting. You can find more information in the useful links section below. Your ACT Counter Terrorism Training can be done free of charge at home however, there is a small charge of £15 if necessary to complete on site at our Academy.

If you are dissatisfied with the resolution provided by HABC, you have the option to escalate your complaint to the relevant qualification regulator. Guidance on identifying the appropriate qualification regulator can be obtained from a representative of Advantage One Training Academy or HABC, along with the respective contact details.
Specifically for complaints related to publicly funded qualifications in Scotland, and if you have exhausted the procedures of Advantage One Training Academy, HABC, and the relevant qualification regulator, you may utilize a final recourse. Contact the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) directly; their details can be found on their website: www.spso.org.uk.
