MODERN ANTI-SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING POLICY
Purpose:
The aim of this Modern Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking policy is to define our commitment and that expected of our Employees and Suppliers, to a zero-tolerance approach to slavery, exploitation and human trafficking and a committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery, exploitation or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business and as far as possible: not in any part of the our Employees lives or that of their families.
This Policy embraces the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is embraced by numerous other Company documents, Processes Policies and Procedures: Recruitment Process, Ethical Purchasing Policy, Corporate Social Responsibility, Company Values and Work Ethics, Behavioural Standards and Diversity and Equality Policies and the Whistle Blowing Procedure.
Policy Statement:
The Advantage One Security Modern Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking policy reflects our promise to act ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, expecting all those who work with us or within; to act as ethically as the Business and treat others as we expect to be treated ourselves. We implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not occurring anywhere in our Business or in our supply chains.
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking defined:
Modern slavery is a term used to encompass slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, bonded and child labour and human trafficking. Human trafficking is where a person arranges or facilitates the travel of another person with a view to that person being exploited. Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights.

We aim to do this by:
- We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in our Business and our supply chains.
- Pay Professional Rates for Professional People – always paid more than the National Minimum levels.
- Operating a fair and open Selection and Recruitment Process.
- Ensuring commitment from our Employees towards this Policy.
- Never forcing excessive working hours upon an Employee.
- Encouraging a good work/life balance, with Company paid Employee Benefits.
- Ensuring the Commitment to this Policy and transparency from our supply chains.
- Ensuring a safe, fair and professional working environmen
- Promoting positive and respectful behaviour between each other.
- Offer an ‘Open Door’ approach for those who feel they wish to discuss this Policy, or if they or anyone in their family are suffering Modern Slavery or Exploitation, offering amenity when necessary.
- Make efforts to detect signs of Modern Slavery or Exploitation within the Business, Employees, or their families; inside, or outside work training Managers and all Employees to look for signs. E.g.
- The person is not in possession of their own passport, identification or travel documents.
- The person is acting as though they are being instructed or coached by someone else.
- The person allows others to speak for them when spoken to directly.
- The person is not allowed a personal phone, or personal money.
- The person is dropped off and collected from work.
- The person is withdrawn or appears frightened.
- The person is displaying signs of injury or Assault.
- The person does not seem to be able to contact friends or family freely.
- The person has limited social interaction or contact with people outside of their immediate environment.
- Protection and support of identified Victims.
- Offer Training and support to all Employees in relation to this document and all related documents.
